Riverhead and ridge ravine area is a important geomorphic type in loess hills gully region,in this paper,topographical and geomorphogic characteristic of river head and ridge ravine area is described in detail,system analysisand experience summarization is carried out in this area by site-investigation and combination with 32 stress smallwatersheds control,especially in gully-fixation、ravine-conservation and land-flood,the control model has beendrawn up,It has guide significance for control and development in river head and ridge ravine area.
