Abstrcat On the basis of analyzing the distribution characteristics and current utilization situation of small-size (river) basins in hilly and gully area of the Loess Plateau, from a point of view of harmonious development among society, economy and environment, three models on rational utilization of small-sized river basin are raised in an overall and systematic way. Water resources storage rules, current utilization situation and reasonable utilization direction are analyzed and studied.
