The effects of soil physical properties, such as texture, bulk density and particle-size on nutrient transport velocity are studied by one-dimensional saturated steady flow experiments. The results showed that the retardation factor R increased with the increase of the clay content.R increased as bulk density increased in the same soil.R also increased with particle2size at different treatments. The repellent nutrient broke through soil column more easily than the reactive nutrient.
