The characteristics of runoff and dissolvable nitrogen and phosphorus losses from a Pinus elliottii stand were studied in Foshan City. The annual amount of runoff from the Pinus elliottii stand was 16.7 mm,which was mainly observed in summer. The relationship between rainfall and runoff in the stand could be described by a binomial equation.A logarithmic relationship existed between runoff and N concentration.Annual dissolvable N loss from the stand was 221g/(hm2?a) and in spring and summer,it reached its peak with above 80% of annual dissolvable N loss.Annual dissolvable P loss from the stand was 7.0g/(hm2?a).The greatest monthly dissolvable P loss occurred in May and June,2008,accounting 59% of its annual P loss.
