    以河西走廊中部荒漠边缘的苦豆子(Sophora alopecuroides L.)和苦马豆〔Swainsonia salsula(Pall.)DC.〕为材料,采用聚乙二醇PEG-6000模拟干旱条件,在6种渗透势(-0.03,-0.10,-0.24,-0.42,-0.65,-0.94 MPa)条件下对种子萌发和幼苗生长进行了研究。研究结果显示,随着干旱胁迫程度的加剧,两种植物种子吸胀速率、发芽率、发芽指数、生活力、苗高和根长、组织饱和含水量等指标均表现出明显降低的趋势,而幼苗干重、根干重和根冠比均呈先升后降的趋势。研究表明,苦豆子和苦马豆种子在适当的干旱胁迫下可以提高其幼苗的抗旱性,有利于培育壮苗。

    Abstract:

    The effects of drought stress,simulated using polyethylene glycol(PEG-6000)( -0. 03,-0. 10,-0. 24,-0. 42,-0. 65,-0. 94 MPa),were investigated on the germination of the seeds and the growth the seedlings of two plant species,Sophora alopecuroides L and Swainsonia salsula (Pall. ) DC. which are dominant local species on the desert edge in the middle of Hexi Corridor. The results show that with increasing stress from PEG,water absorbing rate,germination percentage,germination index,vigorousness,seedling height,root length,and saturated water content of both species decreased,whereas dry weights of seedling and root,and crown-root ratio increased and then decreased. This indicates that appropriate drought stress might improve the drought resistance and then the quality of the seedlings. Possible causes for this adaptation to drought stress by the two species were explained and discussed.
