[Objective] To explore how the digital economy empowers the value conversion of agricultural ecological products, thereby contributing to the development of digital villages and promoting farmers" income growth. [Methods] This study calculates the ecological value of agricultural ecological products using the functional price method. It employs the super-efficiency SBM model to measure the value conversion efficiency of agricultural ecological products in 101 cities along the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2012 to 2022. Kernel density analysis is used to examine trends in value realization efficiency, while the Tobit model investigates the impact of the digital economy on the value conversion efficiency of agricultural ecological products. [Results]①The value conversion efficiency of agricultural ecological products in the Yangtze River Economic Belt shows an upward trend with slight polarization.②The digital economy significantly enhances the value conversion efficiency of agricultural ecological products.③Theoretically, the digital economy boosts efficiency by promoting green technological innovation and green finance.④Heterogeneity analysis indicates that the digital economy is more effective in enhancing value conversion efficiency in non-resource cities and high-efficiency regions. [Conclusion] The digital economy significantly promotes the value conversion efficiency of agricultural ecological products, exhibiting mediating effects and heterogeneous characteristics. These factors should be fully considered when advancing the value realization of agricultural ecological products.
