The Pearl River Delta region is one of the regions which is abundance in water resources in China.However,due to the rapid development of economy and civilization in the past 20 years,its priority in environment hasbecome deteriorated,and the problems of water-environment of the region has become an important factor whichrest rict the region's sustainable development.In this study,main problems and the future st resses of water-environment of the region were analyzed.Furthermore,the main countermeasures of water-environment were put forward,such as the sources of the pollution cont rolling and integrated watershed management,which provide scien2tific reference in the project of water-environment and the prevention of water pollution
