Salix psammophila is an important windbreak and sand-fixation shrub, which can be used in industry, in arid and semiarid areas. Taking low vertical sandy barriers, straw checkerboard barriers and mixed sandy barriers in Kubuqi desert as study objects, the survival rate and growth indicators of Salix psammophila planted with jetting method were studied. The results showed that three kinds of barriers can promote the growth of Salix psammophila significantly(p<0.05), the order of promoting effect is mixed sandy barriers >straw checkerboard barriers >low vertical sandy barriers.
