    Abstract:

    [Objective] This paper aimed to diagnosis the level of rural ecological civilization construction, to provide some references for policy making.[Methods] An evaluation index system for rural ecological civilization construction level was constructed based on pressure-state-response(PSR) model, and an empirical analysis was conducted in Jiangsu Province using grey correlation model.[Results] The level of rural ecological civilization construction had regional differences in Jiangsu Province, and the highest of it was found in Suzhou City. Crucial constraints on the improvement of rural ecological civilization construction level include the Engel coefficient of rural residents, the public expenditure on energy conservation and environmental protection, the proportion of administrative villages in the treatment of domestic sewage, the pesticide load per unit of cultivated land, and the number of beds per ten thousand population of health institutions.[Conclusion] These methods are suitable in the diagnosis on the rural ecological civilization construction level because the evaluation index system based on the PSR model can accurately reflect the relationship among various elements of the rural ecological civilization. Furthermore, the grey correlation model can discover more specific problems existing in the rural ecological civilization construction.
