    • COUNTY-LEVEL LAND RESOURCES INVENTORY USING REMOTELY SENSED DATA

      1987(2):1-6.

      Abstract (995) HTML (0) PDF 539.52 K (954) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:County-level land resources inventory has been regarded as one of the nation's priorities. According to our practices of more than ten years, remotely sensed data can provide abundant information for this work, and we consider that Landsat image and airphoto interpretation in cooperation with the traditional method is an effective and economic way, and would be the main approach for land resources inventory in the near future. Our main procedures are, (i) Landsat image interpretation and working out the highlevel land classes;(ii) Using airphoto and field check in the sampling areas to complete the land classification system, and establishing the interpretation criteria as well; (iii)Airphoto interpretation and transfering of land type and land current use;(iv)Land capability evaluation on the basis of land type;and (v) Measuring of area and compiling of reports involved. The final results include 3 maps(Land Type,Land Current Use and Land Capability),land resources inventories and reports.During the last several years the results mentioned above have effectively and. successfully been used by the local authorities.

      Abstract (1018) HTML (0) PDF 663.96 K (886) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:By way of stepwise discriminant analysis, this paper analyses and in- quires into the general method of constructive types of basic farmland re- gionalization, including fundamental ideas and structure of pattern. The model of the discriminent function is YgX)=1nqg+Cog+C1gX1+C2gX2+…+CmgXm in which Cog=-1/2C1gXig;Cig,=(N-G)WigXig,i∈1, g=1,2,.…,G. where Cig—discriminant coefficients; Xi—varibles; qg—a priority probability; N—number of samples; G—number of regionalization; 1—selected variables. According to the discriminant function comprising the selectedfactors, Gansu Province over the Loess Plateau in the east of the Huanghe Riveris divided into three constructive type regions of basic farmland, that is Ⅰ—constructive broad striped level field and level terrace region in the gully Loess Plateau region of east Gansu Province; Ⅱ—constructive level terrace region in the hilly and gully Loess Pla- teau region is of mid-south Gansu Province; Ⅲ—constructive stone mulch culture, irrigated land and alternation of level terrace and slope region in the low-hills and flat plains before the mountains and hilly and gully Loess Plateau is in the north of middle Gansu Province. A constructive types of basic farmland regionalization map is offered in the end.

    • THE CURRENT SITUATION OF LAND UTILIZATION AND THE DISSECTION OF SOIL AND WATER LOSS IN SHANXI PROVINCE

      1987(2):17-21.

      Abstract (1013) HTML (0) PDF 450.77 K (1222) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:There is a high rate of land utilization in Shanxi Province, In all the loess hilly land, a influence of cultivated activities caused by human is shown. In high and middle mountain region, forest cover has been damaged seriously. grass land degenerated, and the minority of land in plain has been used for basic agricultural land. Thus, this has led todeterioration of ecological system, frequent disasters, and serious loss of soil and water,This average sediment transport into the Yellow River and the Haihe River has reached 456 million ton/yr in this province. The land is the foundaLion of life, and the key to economical growth. To protect land resources land make comprehensive scientific development are current important task。

    • THE GEOLOGICAL一GEOMORPHOLOGICAL CONDITIONS AND CALCULATION AND EVALUATION OF ERODING CAPACITY IN TANGJIABO RIVER VALLEY OF GANSU PROVINCE

      1987(2):22-27.

      Abstract (1187) HTML (0) PDF 500.89 K (957) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Tangjiabo River valley, the terrain sloping gently,is a vast area of land between gullies with average slope 110 45' amounts to 85.400 of the drainage area;Gullies there are cut slightly, the ditch density in the greater gullies being only 0.7一0.8km/km2.With respect to climate, there is smaller rainfall and less strong rainstorm.Under the conditions of landforms and climate described above, there would be no strong soil erosion. However, the hydrological data showed that eroded modulus per year in this valley is up to 4,500t/km2.It has been found through intensive investigation of soil erosion and calculation of eroding capacity in different ways of erosion that greater eroded modulus in this valley is caused by geological-geomorphological and other factors. In this valley, there is a soil erosion way切produce a great quantity of sand一seasonal congelifraction. It is calculated that the congelifraction of this kind may produce a sand amount being equal to 36.5一41 .8%of the total sand produced in this valley.Such facts are common in a number of counties near Dingxi County.

    • WORSENING OF ECOSYSTEM AND BENEFIT OF SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION IN LIAONING PROVINCE

      1987(2):28-33.

      Abstract (725) HTML (0) PDF 525.41 K (899) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:It is interpreted in this paper by facts that the worsening of ecosystem in Liaoning Province is the results of irreasonable land use as cultiviting the hillslope strongly, destroying the forest and exessive grazing at mountains in history, which cause vegetation destroyed and soil loss. It mete out severe punishment to human beings themself, such as peoples life and property sustain heavy losses from the mountain torrents frequently. The ability of river channal containing flood-water becomes lower and the reservoir useless because of silting up, and the destroy of vegetation affects, the rainfall and the ability of containing water of soil,so the drought often happens. Fortunately, people are getting better in knowing how important the natural laws are,They depend on the scientific policy and keep the soil and water conservation as their central task. For example, they emphasis.afforestation and grasses, follow the principle of combining the project and biology measures together to harness mountains, land and water comprehen-sively. Now in some places, including Chaoyang area in Liaoning Province, the ecosystem has been improved obviously and quite a good social ands economic effect has been made.
