    • The tendency to deteriorate of the eco-environment and essential countermeasures required

      1988(3):1-6.

      Abstract (714) HTML (0) PDF 527.80 K (1256) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The ecoenvironment in the earth is being improved in a few specialplaces and aspects, but overall,it is getting worse. In China, likewise, theecoenvironment is being improved in some respects, but at the same timemore deterioration than improvement is taking place. The facts of deterioration are evident mainly in: the decrease of forest cover; soil and waterlosses; the quantity and quality of land resources decreasing; the degeneration of meadows and the heavy desertification in much of the land; thepollution around coastal and inland water worsening; the resources ofanimals and plants lessening sharply because of rapid urbanization and tourtrade development, for these reasons, the natural landscape is beingdestroyed. For solving these environment problems, the essential steps andpositive countermeasures should be to draw out theory and method andneffective steps through scientific studies and practices.

    • Review on the effects of Three Gorges Dam to the resources and ecological environment in Yangtze Valley

      1988(3):7-14.

      Abstract (1051) HTML (0) PDF 2.75 M (1541) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The main effects of the ThreeGorges Dam to the resources and ecological environment in the drowned district and near the reservior are thosethat the land resourse is submerged and won't be recovered, natural landscape and cultural resourse are lost and won't be retrieved, factory andmine loss a lot, if rebuilt, a chained evil consequence would occur, slopeslides and collapses could impact the reservior, the reproduction of thefour major housefish would be restrained, the possibility to induce earthquake in the reservior would be made, migrating in exploiting around thereservior would cause various kind of unfavourable consequences, to theresources and ecological environment on upper reaches, soil loss wouldshorten the using time of the reservior, the deposition from the damconstruction would influence shipping, possibility to cause flood disasteron upper reaches would be made, decrease of the fish in variety andnumber, which is accustomed to live in torrent, would be produced; tothe lower and middle reaches, the effect are mainly on floodng and waterlogging prevention, the living of precious water animals and fishspecieses, the fish production at river outlet and near sea district, industry and agriculture from salt water, accumulation and erosion of the seabank at outlet and delta, the shipping at outlet and in down reaches. These effects above mentioned are profound and rigorous, some are insidious, changable and cann't be evaluated in short term. Thus, it is acritical strategy related to the development of national economy and thedestiny of descendants that whether the Three Gorges Dam is constructed, which ought to be considbred cautiously, but never be made the policymaking by few departments or persons.

    • What causes the increase of soil loss in the area as soil conservation model

      1988(3):15-19,31.

      Abstract (753) HTML (0) PDF 493.75 K (1081) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Both Chunhua and Changwu county in Shaanxi province and the Mengriver watershed of Henan province, commended as the soil conservtionmodel on the forth national work conference of soil conservation, have an increase of erosion modulus in recent years, having been caused highattention, it must be solved substancialy. The lossing curves of increasing erosion are complex, mainly to be the deficiency of knowledge to thecontrol machanisms of the measures and the unwise management is onemajor reason. It is stressed that the control measures should beperformed for the goal to prevent soil erosion, otherwise, the managementis in plunder, resulting in being destroyed by selves.

    • Conserving and improving soil as the fundamental measures for the high and stable yield of agriculture

      1988(3):20-24.

      Abstract (701) HTML (0) PDF 501.81 K (1202) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The poorness of soil is one of the major causes that make the agricultural yield of northern China backward anal natural disasters frequetly, which is produced from the given natural conditions of northern China, haring an ageold history origin, Our forefathers also damaged the ecological eniironment of the base when they made great contributions to the development of world agricutare and the civilization of mankind on the precious land, now the scenary is with serious soil loss, vertical and hor izontal gullles, broclcen farmland and poor soil.It is suggested thatthrough comprehensive harness of soil conservation we improve soil, establish farming system to use and cultivate land, and make the soil more fertile as it is farmed to ensure high and stable yield permanently,

    • Increasing the soil permeabiility to reduce soil loss

      1988(3):25-31.

      Abstract (1135) HTML (0) PDF 572.64 K (1124) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Could Yellow River get clear? when? the key to answer the questionis that whether the rainfall can permeat into the soil layer or not, theinfiltrating amount and the time. The study result shows that the watertransparency of Yellow River is positively related to the infiltrating rate. The measures to increase soil permeability are those, i. e., to change soiltexture, to decrease soil bulk density, to improve soil structure andincrease the cover rate of surface soil, especially the leguminous foragegrass planted have better effect.Various kind of soil conservation measuresare aimed at increasing soil permeability, decreasing soil loss mostly. When the surface runoff becomes trickling flows Yellow River will be solimpid that you can see to the bottom.

    • Study on the soil water balance of artificial forestland in arid region

      1988(3):32-38.

      Abstract (990) HTML (0) PDF 478.26 K (1374) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Soil water balance of the artificial forestland planted with locust treeshas been studied quantitatively for years on the water balance plots setsin Ansai soil conservatin station of loess hilly region in northern Shaanxi, based on the soil water balance equetion for the soil of artificial forestland. The analyse result shows that the soil is becoming dry because ofintense evapotransporation and the watersucking effect due to the development of the root system in deep layer if the artificial forest is madeon the loess hilly region with semiarid climate. The providing functionof the water stored in deep layer to adjust the need of water from treeswill be vanished, thus, only could the trees grow depending on the precipitation in current year. From this point of view,it is thought that the artificial forests deteriorate their own soil water condition constantly, whichmakes the trees grow slowly and limits the growth amount with water.

    • A primary approach to the relationship between the mine of coalfield and soil loss as well as the way to control in Shenmu County

      1988(3):39-45.

      Abstract (1103) HTML (0) PDF 632.69 K (1187) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:On the basis of field investigation, the relationship between the mineof coalfield and soil loss was analysed, the mechanism of new soil lossand other calamities caused by the mine of coalfield was described.Meanwhile, using the advanced experience of other countries for refereences, technical measures that should be solved urgntly in land reclaming and restoring and some rational proposals for the mine of coalfieldin Shenmu County of North Shaanxi are given.

    • Soil fertility deterioration and the reserving ways on Loess Plateau

      1988(3):46-54.

      Abstract (1051) HTML (0) PDF 730.87 K (1285) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The impact of soil loss on the deterioration of soil fertility on loessplateau is mainly displayed in the lossing of ecological function of agriculture, forestry and husbandry, the damage of soil resource, zonal soilreplaced by unzonal soil, resources worsend, the cycle system of soilmatter damaged as to a great amount of nutrients lost, the ratio ofproduction to input unbalanced and soil quality lowered, all thesethen induced arid and poor consequences. The reserving way is suggestedas follows, 1.to utilize the land rationaly and build the protective agriculture being a composited body of agriculture, forestry and husbandry toenhance virtuous cycle,2.to control slope as quickly as possibe,to improveagricultural production condition and construct highyield farm land, 3.toincrease the input of organic and inorganic matter to strengthen theefficiency of matter cycle or to set a virtuous cycle system of ecologicalagriculture.

    • Study on the law of soil and water loss in low-hill and hillock in the middle part of Jiangxi Province

      1988(3):56-60.

      Abstract (742) HTML (0) PDF 462.71 K (1078) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The lowhill and shallowhill part consisting of red soil is the main lossing area of soil in southern Jiangxi province.By analysing the features and laws of soil and water loss, the stress should be put on soil二protec ting and the loss controlling. The first step should be recovering the vegetation on marl field where the loss is serious and thp eco一environ ment is not too bad.Meanwhile,by improving the methods of cultivation and the measures to cover slope during rainy season, the soil erosion would be eliminated. The hillock is a kind of land with latent productive capacity, which could be transformed and developed to use.

    • The part of Yongshuihe River valley in Qishan County need be harnessed

      1988(3):60-63.

      Abstract (1225) HTML (0) PDF 308.91 K (1047) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The section of Yongsihhe river in Qishan county is affected by heavysoil and water loss and destroyed by human activity. The both side banks ofthe river are in a seriours dangerous by the destroy. In addition, the realeasfloodwater channel of Fengjiashan Reservoir in Wagangzhai irrigated area oethe upper reaches of the river releases excess water during winter, spring, and summer irrigation times these years, the released water inundates thefland around the river sides and erodes the banks, these result in the reduceof farmland area. The local residents vigorously claim that the govermentconcerned should take steps to stop this condition, but up to now there istno any response. Now,the riverbed expands continuously,it greatly threatenohe life, property and produce of the local mass.In this paper,we appealnce again that the department concerned should immeadiatly pay attentionto the questions and help the people to solve the problems.
