Abstract:This paper discusses the basic theory of remote sensing image reading and classification of sand lands,the principles and bases of the boundary classfication of remote sensing types in close connection with the studies of compiling soil erosion map using the remote sensing technology.Also,the interpretion principles of the remote sensing information are used to establish the relatingships between the satellite image an the type boundary of sand lands.The geographic correlative lccations of the sandy area are determined in this region.Yhis paper also confirms that using remote sensing technology to classify the type boundaries of sand land is feasible and reliable.
Abstract:This paper deals with the affects of land surface slops upon the surface rumoff through simulation tests.Also,priority is given to the analysis of the effects of slops upon the vulume of runoff,the flow of peak value and the confluence.Finally,the authors summarize the testing results and put forward some suggestions on doing job in watetshed control.
Abstract:This paper holds that the erosive rainfall in the arenaceous shale mountain lands is the magnitude of rainfall as well as rainfall intensity within 10 minutes based on the analysis and study of the observed and measured date fron the runoff plots.With an increase in rainfall and rainfall intensity within 10 minutes,the volume of soil eorded goes up.The testing results show that the weakness and strongness of soil erosion in arenaceous shale mountain lands depends on the magnitude of rainfall intensity within 10 minutes.
Abstract:A serial Grey Modle GM (1.1) for predicting sedimentation in Chaochu lake was established,and also,the principles of seletion of the length periods of GM (1.1) were suggested in this paper.IN considering the increasing tendency of soil erosion in the watershed for years,the model must be made to have a high accuracy than that of the nonlinear regression modeling in sedimentation prediction.Meanwhile,the variables to be predicted can not depend on any other stochastic ones,being more stuible for serial prediction than the non-linear regression modeling.Finally,this paper suggests some ways of controlling sedimentation in Chaohu lake.

Abstract:Landfall erosion is the most important type of soil erosion in the mountain areas of South China.The control over landfall erosion is the key to controlling water and soil erosion.This paper deals with the behaviours of landfall erosion in granite weathering crust in the mountain areas of South China with Xinyi village,Wuhua county,Guangdong Province in the upper reaches of the Hanjiang River as an example ,and analyses the relationgships of special development of landfall erosion of granite weathering crust and the nature of weathering crust soil.Also,it discusses the effects of controlling granite landfall erosion by the method of combiantion of biological measures with engineering practices

Abstract:This paper deals with the determination of biomass of 11 herbaceous grasses including Contorted Tanglehead and Lalang grass.The results indicate that the biomass of Lalang grass is 14.26 t/ha,and that of Contorted Tanglehead is 9.19 t/ha.The predicting equations for herbaceous biomass are established by using the method of quantification theory.

Abstract:The experiment was conducted by selecting fine legume species such as Astragalus adsurgens and Onobrychis viciesolia with very good adaptability to sow them in sping and every other level strip land preparation on the basia of which semi-artificial grassland was established.The grassland grew so vigoriously that the vegetation cover 80%~85%,Astragalus adsurgens used to improve grassland has had an average per mu fresh forage production of 671.3 kg within 8 years,while Onobrychis viciesolia used to improve grassland has had an average per mud fresh forage production of 1035.4 kg,having an increase of 5.7 times and 9.4 times as hihe as those perior to the wasted slope improvement with an apparent controlling benefit obtained.This experiment study also prode into the controlling approachea and countermeasures of dry slops facing the sun in the loess hilly area.
Abstract:Based on the analysis of the observed and measured date and the application of remote sensing technology,this paper deals with the behaviorsand genisis of water and soil erosion as well as serious hazards caused by soil and water loss.Also,this paper suggests the controlling countermeamures based on the behaviors of soil and water erosion in this river valley.
Abstract:This paper analyses the characteristice of landslides and disasters caused by landslides in this region through the field surveys of 7 counties along the left bank of the lower reaches of the Jinsha River valley.It also points out that at present landslide disasters are in a new active phase because of the effects by natural and human factors in this region.For this reason,the author puts forwards some regional comprehensive countermeasures based on the analysis of the disasters caused by landslides.

Abstract:Based on the economic monitoring results of pleasant households in recent years in Wangdonggou,this paper briefly analyses the inputs and output into food crops and cash crops and costs of material consumption,and sugests that attention should be paid to the following points in the course of agropreduetion and water and soil conservation:(1) to increase corn sown area and reduce wheat sown area;(2)to stablise tobacco sown area and properly develope other cash crop sown area,(3)better to deal with the relationship of food production in developing a diversified economic,and(4)better to deal with the relations between the active accumulation of labor force and material inputs.
Abstract:The authors surveyed the transformation of the intermediate and low yielding farmland and analysed the causes of occurence of the intermediate and low yielding farmlands in Zhnnan County.Finally,they suggested to strengthen the construetion of agro-system engineering with priority gives to the basic farmland construction and continue to improve land productivity so as to promote the sustained and stable developement of agricultural prodution.
Abstract:This paper analyses rose root system,edge fixation and edge functions by canopy and dead litter,and effects of edge fixation and soil conversation by roses is significant thereby to provide the scientific base for the extension of changong the earth edge into rose bank on the loess planteau.
