Abstract:Baed on the thoughts of System science and the grey system theory,the grey systematic characteristics ofcomprehensive control of watershed were analysed in this paper,and the index system and the method of grey systematic appraisal for appraising the benefits of comprehensive management of soil and water conservation were setupas well,On this basis ,the benefits of five watersheds in severe soil loss area of loess plateau were comprehensivelyappraised and analysed which provides a new way for analysis and appraisal of soil and water conservation benefits.

Abstract:According to the biological characteristics and adaptability of Ma bamboo(Dendrocalamus Lati florus Munro)Ma bamboo was planted to control collaping hill,combined with engineering measures of intercepting in the uppersection, blocking in the lower section and paring slope of collapsing hill.Therefore,Soil and water loss of collapsinghill is controlled by use of these measures. Ecological environment is improved and sigificantly economic benefit isgained after three year control.
Abstract:This study deals with reconstruction of Masson’s pine inferior stand on eroded and inferior land of granite.10kinds of fine pasturage,green manure and fuelwood were selected, to make up 3 technical measures with themethod of intercropping which are mixed pine and pasturage,pine and green manure,pine and fuelwood. The emphasis is placed on studying and analyzing the effect of each reconstruct io n measure on the growth of Masson’spine,the physical and chemical properties of soil,and economic benefit;The result shows that mixed pine and pasturage, pine and green manure, pine and fuelwood to reconstruct Masson's pine inferior stand in eroded and inferiorland of granite has quick effectiveness,good result of soil improvement and water conservation as well as effect oneconomic benefit.
Abstract:Erosivity of rainfall(R)is the potential ability which cause soil erosion and is the function of the physics characteristic of rainfall.There are many methods to calculate the value R, But the calculating process is overlaborate.Based on the observation data from the normal runoff plots(MP I,blank controlled)on the cultivated landof our institute during 1983-1991,the relationships between the different compound parameter of index R andamount of soil erosion has been systematically analysed by the method of correlation analysis in grey system theorysnd computer technique.And based on the regression analysis,the simplified calculation method of the total kineticenergy of once rainfall(especially the torrential rain during a short period of time)has been approached beneficially,and a simplified caculation has been deduced.

Abstract:Based on the soil investigation and analysis to the small district of the forestry farm at Shulincun village,Yaoxian County in loess hills region,the soil species were classified in this paper,and the soil resources quality was evaluated according to the average percentage of sum and product of the equal ratio index.And at last,combined withthe soil resources quality and present landuse features related to soil conservation,some rational landuse measures ofcoordinating ecoenvironment and developing economic,were put forward.
Abstract:Riverhead and ridge ravine area is a important geomorphic type in loess hills gully region,in this paper,topographical and geomorphogic characteristic of river head and ridge ravine area is described in detail,system analysisand experience summarization is carried out in this area by site-investigation and combination with 32 stress smallwatersheds control,especially in gully-fixation、ravine-conservation and land-flood,the control model has beendrawn up,It has guide significance for control and development in river head and ridge ravine area.

Abstract:Water and soil conservation measures of slope influence mainly sediment in the region of the middle reaches andthe upper reaches of Weihe watershed,but the measures of water conservancy such as reservoirs,dams and irrigation projeets and so on,have an effect on sediment in the downreaches area,Agricultural irrigation affects primarilyrunoff.hydrology and sediment data of the watershed have been analysed statisticaly,the result shows:in 1970’sthe runoff amount which has been decreased by rainfall and watershed control is 22.6%and 77.4%respectively inthe watershed.The seditment amount which has been decreased bv rainfall and watershed control is 47.0%and53.0%respectively.But in 1980’9,the latter are respectively 21.3%and 78.7%,the latter are respectively13.4%and 86.6%.
Abstract:Land degradation, an important sustainable development issue, is defined as this: the diminution or destruc tion of the biological or economic potential caused by one or a combination of processes actiong on the land. The processes include water erosion, wind erosion, and longterm reduction in the amount of natural regetation. There is severe water erosion in the granite weathering crust area in southern China. As a result of water ero sion,desertlike landscape appears in the place such as badlands, deterioration of soil properties and vegetation degradation. For example, 2700 of total area in Wuhua county, Guangdong Province, has suffered from badlands. In consideration of the badlands that are mainly landscape in the process of degradation,in which vegetation cover age, density of gully and weathering layer condition as well as erosion type can be regards as the indicator to assess land degradation. Finally, this paper discusses the negative effects of land degradation on social and environment.They include destruction of land resource, silation of reservoirs and reducement of plant growth etc.
Abstract:Ganjiagou is one of the famous debris flow disastrous gully in China. The catchment area is 24. 3km ̄2.There are52 landslides and 1 3.4 13 × 10 ̄7m ̄3 loosened solid material in the gully.The formation condition of debris flow is extrernely advantageous,In order to protect the farmland villages and towns,roads and Wudu city in upper reach,onecomprehensive prevention countermeasures has been put forwards according to formation features and disastersforms of debris flow,which is to combine the engineering and biological measures,to take engineering measure asthe domirant factor and to combine the regulating and drainly measures,taking regulating measure as the domirantfactor。
