Abstract:The mineral component,mechanical composition,physical and chemical properties,soil water content and variation of sandy soil in semi-humid region before and after amelioration are analyzed.The result shows the amount of fine sands and sub-clay increase,while coarse sands decrease after the sandy land is renovated by human through 4~5years.Also,the erosion resistance of sandy soil raise 6~10 times and the property of preserve moisture and fertility in sandy soil under human renovation is greatly improved.So the renovated sandy land is fit for vegatation growing,of which water content raises 50%~10%,and the organic matter increase 1~3 times. This study proves the possibility of sandy land to be renovated in semi-humid region.
Abstract:Land degradation is one of the most serious global eco-environment problem which limits the development of society and economy at present.According to the situation in northwestern of Shanxi province,land degradation mainly includes water erosion and wind erosion.Land degradation in this area with fragile eco-environment condition,such as loose surface material composition and dry climatic condition,is directly resulted by rapid increase of population and human irrational economic activities.Finally,the negative effects of land degradation on society and environment are studied,and strategies for preventing further land degradation are also put forward.

Abstract:Based on soil water-sensitive particularity in expansive soil area, basic farm field construction in this kind of areas should adopt an opposite direction slope terrace.It regards as the guide thought of terraced design in the expansive soil region to drain water for stabilization terraced bank,lay equal stress on slope engineering and plant measures.Combining the practical experiences of field investigation,the specific problems of the earth-banked terrace specifications,size and structure ect.are further expounded.
Abstract:Based on analyzing the structure feature and operation state of silt arrester,the result shows the rational model to determine the seepage line of silt arrester should be to superpose the seepage flow model with horizontal upstream pressure slope upon the seepage flow model with vertical pressure slope of uniform earth damon the permeable stratum base.The solving process can be superposed by means of two type formulas set by the scientists of the former Soviet Union. The practical calculation indicates that the presented method is reliable and reaso nable.

Abstract:The maps and material of the 2nd general soil investigation of China are the important data of land resources.Soil type map of the Pearl river delta area was analyed.The quality problems in soil type map and the difference of its classification system from Guangdong province were pointed out.The detail methods to renew soil type map are also introduced.By using GIS and remote sensing,the spatial and at tributive soil type database of the Pearl river delta area are founded.

Abstract:Using methods of experiment and demonstration, the agronomy techniques for rainwater irrigation are studied.The results showed that the agronomy techniques with mulching and drip irrigation could reduce the water evaporation and increase the temperature that the crop need in semi-arid area. The ecological and economic efficiency of limited rainwater can be brought into play by the techniques such as furrow hill cultivation and multiple cultivation by using rainwater as supplementary irrigation resource.
Abstract:Based on the technique of remote sensing,soil erosion at Hulunbeier league,the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region was analysed by interpreting satellite image.Because of the historical destruction of forest and the rapid development of modern economy,soil erosion at Hulunbei rioccurs universally and very seriously.Soil erosion could result in land degradation, environmental deterioration,as well as territory loss on frontier a reas which should be taken very seriously.There are three types of soil erosion at Hulunbeier,water erosion,wind erosion and freezing-thaw erosion.Soil and water conservation should be done well by enhancing dissemination,executing the law,protecting the river banks on frontier areas,and regulating the structure of landuse,optimizing the disposition of resources,so as to promote the economic development of Hulunbeier.

Abstract:Landuse structure and benefits before and after comprehensive control at soil-rock mountaino us region were analyzed,the orientation and practices were probed.The result shows that the main ways to readjust landuse structure are undertaking basic farmland through building terraced fields in the slope land,stopping the cultivation,planting fruit trees,and making full use of the resources in order to develop a diversified economy,to develop economy and to protect the environment.Meanwhile,in the process of practice,by taking a small watershed as a unit,a comprehensive system for prevention and control and development would be set up,and the utilization ratio could be improved by reasonably cultivating barren hills and slopes.
Abstract:Based on the reality of Hebei province,the effects of soil erosion on the development of ecological agriculture are discussed.It is pointed that comprehensive control of soil erosion is the basis of ecological agriculture in mountain areas,meanwhile the comprehensive control at small watershed is the specific pattern of it,it could ensure the development of ecological agriculture in plain areas at the lower reaches.Some specific countermeasures are suggested to enhance soil and water conservation,and to promote the construction of ecological agriculture in the province.
Abstract:Based on investigation and analysis on the species,distribution,appropriate ecoenvironment of Rose roxburghii in Qinling-Bashan mountains of south Shaanxi province,the distribution and regionalism maps of wild Rose roxburghii resource in the areas are drawn up.The production and development of Rose roxburghii for every district in the future is firstly planned.
Abstract:The population in Qinghai province is relatively concentrated,but water resource is poor.It could overcome the irrigation difficulty of water deficiency throughout history to popularize the technique of rainwater accumulation and utilization.Rainwater accumulation contains 2 links of collection and storage.Rainwater collection should follow the principle of suiting measures to local conditions and making full use of rainwater resource,using local materials and reducing the costs;It should put stress on cellar storage in storing rainwater.Rainwater utilization contains potable water for people and livestock,developing courtyard economy,processing agricultural and sideline products,developing water saving for estry and dry farmingetc.,it is a technique of multi-founctions,lower cost and high benefits,it is the effective way to improve the society, develop the economy and construct the ecosystem in mountain areas.

Abstract:A minimum set of indicators and the assessment procedure of evaluation of catchment ecological environment established by Australian Commonwealth Science and Industry Research Organization (CSIRO) has been introduced.These key indictors were chosen from a large number of candidate indicators which were ranked according to astandard set of 8 selection criteria. And the three subsets of indicators are recommended: 10 condition indicators are used to gauge the state of catchment relative to some desired condition,10 biophysical trend indicators are used to monitor short term biophysical changes of the catchment,and 9 farm productivity and financial product quality trend indicators are used to monitor the profits changes of the catchment.After all the indicator data have been collected and evaluated,the catchment environmental health report card is completed,which gives a view of the long term health status of the catchment,and interprets the indicators data. Then people will know the strengths and weaknesses of land use practices exposed by the report card,and also know which remedial actions and the measures are needed for the catchment.
