Abstract:[Objective] The intensity of spatial conflicts was measured and ways to strengthen the management of territorial space conflicts were determined at county scale, and the utilization of territorial space was optimized in different regions in order to provide new ideas for the sustainable development and utilization of territorial space at the county level.[Methods] Taking Yihuang County in Jiangxi Province for example, the three methods of landscape ecological index model, exploitable intensity analysis, and land use status and suitability evaluation were used in conjunction with guidance provided from the comprehensive perspective of grasp landscape pattern-clarify development intensity-determine suitability-realize function optimization to construct a comprehensive spatial conflict measurement model. Impact type areas with significant spatial conflicts coupled with regional bases at the township scale were identified, and functional optimization measures were proposed.[Results] ① At Yihuang County from 2010 to 2020, urbanization expanded and the accommodation degree of ecological space declined. The main change trend was that the agricultural production space and ecological space were transferred to the industrial and mining production space and the urban living space. ② From 2010 to 2020, the intensity of regional conflicts intensified, and there were significant differences in intensity and distribution in different periods and regions. The controllable space was mainly located in the southern part of the study area. The mild and moderate conflicts were evenly distributed in the region. The severe conflicts were mainly located in the northern, central, and eastern areas. ③ According to the analysis of development intensity and the causes of conflict, the towns and villages could be divided into three categories:disadvantaged areas of terrain development, intensive areas of urban development, and concentrated areas of nature protection, which are the key points of spatial function optimization; ④ At the township scale, there were differences in the distribution of spatial conflict types, and the conflict areas followed the order of agricultural space and ecological space conflict > urban space and ecological space conflict > urban space conflict > agricultural space conflict; ⑤ From the comprehensive conflict measurement model, it can be concluded that there were eight kinds of comprehensive conflict combinations within the region, which could be divided into five conflict types after merging:disorderly urban expansion, urban scale expansion, improper urban planning, overall development lag and urban development lag.[Conclusion] The intensity of spatial conflicts in Yihuang County increased during 2010 to 2020, and regional ecological security and food security were constantly challenged. Therefore, regional control of spatial conflicts should be strengthened to optimize the development and utilization of regional territorial space resources.

Abstract:[Objective] Changes in productive-living-ecological land and its spatial conflicts in Urumqi City, Xinjiang Wei Autonomous Region, were studied in order to provide references for the optimal allocation of land resources in this region. [Methods] A spatial conflict measurement model at the grid scale was constructed for Urumqi City from the three factors of external pressure, vulnerability, and stability. The spatiotemporal characteristics of spatial conflicts in this region from 2000 to 2018 were then quantitatively evaluated. [Results] ① From 2000 to 2018, the northern part of Urumqi City was the main growth direction for urban living land, and the spatial pattern of agricultural production land showed a fragmentation trend. Ecological land was the main component of productive-living-ecological land in Urumqi City. Therefore, the occupation of new core ecological land by human activities should be avoided. ② The conflict levels of productive-living-ecological space in each period followed the order of stable and controllable > minor conflict > moderate conflict > heavy conflict. ③ The spatial unit of severe conflict had the largest increase, indicating that the scope of uncontrolled severe conflict in the study area was expanding, and should be the key area of spatial conflict regulation in Urumqi City. ④ There were some differences in spatial conflicts among different spatial types, and conflict intensity followed the order of productive space > living space > ecological space. [Conclusion] Changes in productive-living-ecological land in Urumqi City was strongly influenced by regional economic and social development. In the future, the phenomenon of conflict level gradually increasing due to the rapid expansion of living space should be gradually changed. The dynamic monitoring of urban living land should be given more attention, and the core ecological land should be protected in order to achieve more coordinated land use.

Abstract:[Objective] The conflicts of three space types in oasis counties in the northwest arid zone were analyzed and simulated, in order to provide scientific reference for the rational layout of land space and sustainable development of the region. [Methods] Taking the oasis county of northwest arid zone—Mageti County, Xinjiang Wei Autonomous Region as the study area, a spatial classification system was constructed based on the dominant land use function to divide the national land space into urban, agricultural and ecological space. A spatial conflict measurement model was constructed based on the landscape pattern index to explore the evolution characteristics of spatial conflict levels from 2009 to 2019. The CA-Markov model was used to predict the spatial layout in 2024 and analyze the characteristics of conflict intensity changes. [Results] The area of urban space increased from 1 537.74 hm2 to 4 582.24 hm2, and the area of agricultural space increased from 84 670.06 hm2 to 107 447.66 hm2, while the area of ecological space decreased by 25 822.69 hm2. ② The intensity of spatial conflict increased significantly from 2009 to 2019, and the proportion of medium spatial conflict, relative high spatial conflict and high spatial conflict evaluation units increased by 50.41%, 13.45% and 0.53%, respectively. ③ In 2024, urban space and agricultural space would increase 2 981.19 and 4 285.96 hm2, respectively, and ecological space decrease 7 267.16 hm2. The conflict level would be dominated by medium spatial conflict, which account for 60.24%. [Conclusion] From 2009—2019, urban space and agricultural space increased year by year, while ecological space decreased, and the disordered change of all kinds of space led to the overall increase of spatial conflict intensity. Through the prediction, the change trend of the 3 types of space in 2024 would consistent with that in 2009—2019, and the medium spatial conflict was the main one.
